RUMORS - 10/8/09 " Mich the Trainee "
5. WWE
has announced that Slim Jim will be the official sponsor of Wrestlemania 26. 4. Tammy Lynn Sytch/Sunny, apparently took a page out of Matt Hardy's book as she recently posted
the following on her facebook page: just found out that there is a certain TNA knockout that is pregnant, Not
telling who yet ! But she's a friend of mine, hint hint." Not long after, Sytch posted another comment saying
that she made the whole thing up & that she only posted the pregnancy bit because she finds it ridiculous that the internet
media would post something from her page online. Matt did something similar to this not too long ago when he baited the internet
into reporting that he was upset with his brother Jeff. If you post something on your Facebook giving fans/readers info, why
would they not believe or assume it's true? 3. Former WWE & current TNA star Mick Foley plans to put together a stand-up comedy tour
based on the routine he did back in August in LA during the SummerSlam weekend. Early reports are claiming that New England
and Chicago have been talked about, and other cities are expected to host Foley's tour also. The routine that he did back
in August consisted mainly of road stories about his pro wrestling career. 2. There are reports circulating around the internet that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's cancer has returned
and that the ring legend is dying. PWInsider.com is reporting that those rumors are completely untrue and that according to
sources close to Piper, he is dealing with a health issue which has caused him to back out of scheduled appearances, but the
issue is not cancer related and he is in fact not dying. 1. WWE star Big Show is slated to star in an upcoming WWE Films project, and now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be entitled "Knucklehead." It has also been confirmed that the film will co-star Mark Feuerstein of Royal Pains, and actress Melora Hardin, best known from roles in "Monk" and "The Office." The film's plot will revolve around Feuerstein playing a fight promoter who is in major debt due to a crooked partner, so he encounters Walter Kronk, played by Big Show, and convinces him to wrestle professionaly for him. Filming for the movie began this week in New Orleans.
Reports are that TNA star Booker T will likely be finished with TNA after
his contract expires in November. The belief right now is that Booker is unhappy and he also has
a lot of backstage heat on him because of recent behavior. Most recently, Booker refused to put over Matt Morgan at the last
tapings, and he had a meeting just the day before with TNA President Dixie Carter. Apparently that
meeting did little to no good as Booker went ahead and refused to job to Morgan. Additionally, Booker's behavior on the last
TNA overseas tour was described as "disruptive," and he even refused to work a tag team match with Scott Steiner, as we reported,
when the fans began to throw chairs into the ring. Booker was reportedly telling those backstage
in TNA that he has plans to return to WWE, and always has that option available which he claims he most likely will exercise.
Concerning the Matt Morgan issue, there is apparently no heat between him and Booker T, it was more a matter of Booker feeling
that it was a creative mistake for him to lose to Morgan on TV rather than on a PPV. Additionally, Booker did not inform TNA
management about his decision not to job to Morgan until 45 minutes before the Impact taping, which made it very difficult
for the creative team to re-write the segment. |
